Houston Forensic Science Center President to Speak on the Science of Forensic Testing at Astral Brewing Tuesday Evening

Dr. Peter Stout, CEO/President of Houston Forensic Science Center, will give a FREE public talk at Astral Brewing on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6:30pm.

Dr. Stout has helped to change Houston's Forensic Science Center from one of the worst to among the leading Centers in the nation in terms of scientific rigor, mostly due to his introduction of blind controls in quality assurance. This has not gone without controversy. Such rigorous testing takes time and resources, leading some to criticize the Center for its backlogs.

Dr. Stout will talk about the science of forensic testing, including what can and cannot be done in forensic labs. Come learn about the reality of CSI and NCIS.
