Houston Foodie Life: London Cafe!
A trip to London Cafe is guaranteed to set you up for a repeat visit. Every time you come in there is this sense of curiosity that takes over as you scan through the menu like a kid in a toy store. You are sure to notice the deserts section…the french toast options…and so much more!
If you are not a fan of the sugar overload, you can opt for the salads which are delicious!Â
Hamburgers are also on the menu
As of writing this post about London Cafe, we have only tried the Bacon Avocado Hamburger with Onion Rings. I was disappointed that the onion rings ran out because I ate them all! The onion rings were not overly greasy and were seasoned perfectly. Now about that hamburger…it was fresh! I would be exaggerating if I said I heard the cow go moo but I am 100% certain that is the freshest beef you can find in Houston. It comes loaded with a vibrant stack of green lettuce with all the included add-ons. It was consumed just as Chef Alek brought it to the table – with all of God’s Garden resting in between the hamburger buns.Â
We have also ordered the CLUB…this sandwich is no joke. I have never eaten a messy club before and I can tell you I want to go back for more! Chef Alek adds just enough special sauce to this sandwich to make sure it causes the perfect mess because you are too busy taking pictures so you can share with the viewers of Houston City Beat. I have to add there is bacon in that sandwich and it’s not just any regular bacon. It’s the meaty kind of bacon which you want to bite into every time!
As we continue our adventures to London Cafe, we will be adding to this post many more epic food adventures with the creation of Chef Alek and his beautiful wife Aurora. Please visit this lovely couple in their family run restaurant. You will fall in love with them as well as the restaurant just as we have!
