Houston drivers who hog the right lane on the highway and aggressively refuse to let others merge… WHY?

You are creating problems both for people trying to enter and exit the highway, creating traffic by making people slow down, and may cause accidents.

If you are not exiting the highway on the next mile or so, you should NOT be on the right lane. If you are on the right lane because you feel uncomfortable changing lanes in highways – that is fine, but LET PEOPLE MERGE in front of you. DO NOT accelerate when you see blinkers on.

My hypothesis is that it is needlessly competitive people who think life is a race and unconsciously refuse to let people get ahead of them?
