Houston CPA group acquired by Michigan firm

Doeren Mayhew acquired Houston-based accounting firm Evans & Chastain LLC, growing the Troy, Michigan-based CPA firm’s local presence.

Evans & Chastain, which specialized in tax, audit and advisory services for homebuilders, developers and real estate professionals, began operating under the Doeren Mayhew brand effective immediately, according to a Dec. 16 press release. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
