Houston Construction Company

I am looking to move to Houston soon and I see a lot of new housing properties. I am interested in new construction but also concerned about the quality of the new construction. Does anybody have any recommendations or advice for a Houston newbie? Any recommended companies to look for on the who did the construction? I am looking for quality vs cheaper price house. A house that is insulted really well and done with care.
