Houston commercial contractors grapple with fallout from devastating winter storm

After a massive winter storm forced construction projects to shut down for nearly a week, many contractors returned to work Feb. 22 to find broken pipes, spotty electricity and job sites in need of significant cleanup.

Some developers posted additional security officers at their job sites to ensure squatters didn’t take up residence in partially completed buildings.
