Houston City Council OKs next step in Rice’s SSPEED Center study of Galveston Bay Park Plan

If completed, Galveston Bay Park is expected to provide nearly 10,000 acres of public land on a chain of human-made islands, doubling as a public amenity for recreation and tourist activity, as well as providing hurricane protection.
