Houston City Council accepts grant awards totaling over $1.6M to tackle homelessness

During a Nov. 30 meeting, Houston City Council approved an ordinance that enters the city into two contracts with the TDHCA for an award of the funds. A little over $1.2 million of the funds will be used as a general allocation, while around $400,000 will be used to address youth homelessness — each award representing the separate contracts.
