Houston-based Friedkin Group reaches new deal to buy AS Roma soccer club
The Friedkin Group Inc., led by Houston billionaire Dan Friedkin, has reached a deal to acquire a majority stake in Italian soccer club AS Roma S.p.A.
AS Roma SPV LLC signed a binding equity purchase agreement with the Houston company to sell its entire 86.6% stake in the team’s share capital, plus related assets, according to an Aug. 5 press release. The deal is valued at approximately 591 million euros, or about $700.32 million at the current exchange rate.
The deal is slated to close in August.…
