Houston Ave safety improvements being taken away

Mayors office just announced right before 5 pm today on a Friday that the safety and road calming improvements to Houston Ave are being taken away.

As someone who lives near by, I find this so frustrating. These were much needed, worked for calming the street down, and my traffic driving out of there every morning didn’t get worse.

As someone who loves riding my bike recreationally, I find our new mayors comments very troubling about how he thinks about pedestrians and cyclists. This is just a sign of this to come.

Also this project was just done, what a waste of money to go take it all out!

I’m now a Whitmire hater, who I voted for because SJL is a disaster for the city. Shame on her ego also, we could have had Chris Hollins. Also shame on council members like Abbie Kamin and Mario Castillo, who talk a big pedestrian and cyclist game but don’t walk the walk. None of these people get my vote next cycle.
