Houston-area homebuilder returns to Austin after more than a decade

Katy-based Newmark Homes is returning to the Austin market for the first time in more than a decade.

The homebuilder has hired Shay Brinkley as president of the Newmark Homes Austin division, according to a press release. Mike Moody, chairman and CEO of Newmark Homes, noted that he had worked with Brinkley at Newmark in the 1990s through the mid-2000s.

“During that time, I gained a great deal of respect for his ability to build teams,” Moody said. “We are very excited to be reuniting with Shay.”
