Houston apartment locks the doors for amenities at 10PM.
I live in a high rise building where the outdoor pool, outdoor grill, and lounge area are located on the 6th floor. My husband and I have gone a few times to the 6th floor after 10PM to grill and never had any issues. Recently, we went to the 6th floor after 10PM to grill and noticed that the doors are locked.
Our concierge informed us that they recently did this, yet the apartments never sent an email to notify residents of this change. I would think if they did send a wide email regarding this, they would have received quite a bit of responses. I’m quite annoyed as I don’t think this is right for the property management to do. I understand you can’t go to the pool after 10PM (typical apartment rules), but to lock the doors is a bit ridiculous!
Is this is right for apartments to do? What can I do as a tenant to push back on this rule?
