Housing recommendations for UT Nursing students?

Hello,

Looking at applying to the CRNA program at the UT Cizik School of Nursing. I am not from the area so wondering what the safest areas are, areas with rail access, areas to avoid, etc. Any suggestions from students or anyone else who regularly goes to the Medical Center area?

ETA: I’m specifically seeking advice on off-campus housing, such as apartment buildings— not student housing or dorms
