House without power for 2 days due to wear and tear from underground wires. Centerpoint website shows usage in those 2 days without power
Parent's house was without power for half a day. Centerpoint finally came and said the underground wires was at fault and needed to be replaced due to wear and tear (old house) and advised us to disconnect the power since this will need to be disconnected when electricans come out to work on it. Called out an electrician and was able to replace the wires.
However, the 2 days that they were disconnected from the power source we noticed on the centerpoint website that my parent's house was still showing significant usage.

We want to get all our facts straight before calling centerpoint. Has anybody experience this before??
