Horticulture + beekeeping in Houston

I’d love to learn more about beekeeping and, if it exists considering the city is pretty sprawling, urban farming / gardening. Does anyone have recommended classes or events to attend in the Houston area?

I’ve been considering dipping into gardening for a living which is a huge change from my corporate job. If anyone works in horticulture I’d love to know your experiences too, and how you grew into the field (pun intended 😂).
