Homerism aside, where do you rank Deshaun currently amongst NFL QBs

Buddy and I were discussing what’s the least we’d take for Deshaun. He said he’s not gonna budge from 3 firsts and change bc he’s a top 1-2 QB.

I was saying I used to agree but seeing how crazy some of these new guys are makes me realize that Deshaun is special but he’s not otherworldly or a consensus top 3 anymore by any means. And I’d happily take 2 first and change if it meant getting rid of him. If we can’t get that then I say we tell him to play out his contract or not get paid.

My ranking rn (ignoring guys like Brady bc they’re obviously only here for 1-2 years max)

Better: Mahomes and Allen (obviously better), Herbert and Burrow (better IMO but less baggage if you say equals), Rodgers (better but old and drama queen)

Same tier: Lamar (Deshaun may be better but again PR), Russ and Stafford (may be better but old), Kyler and Dak (I see these guys as actual same tier as Deshaun)

So I think Currently Deshaun ends up as a fringe top 10 guy. I wonder if Kyler/Dak would fetch 3 firsts (I feel like they would)
