Homemade Critter Hotel for the freeze

I’ve got a critter hotel set up for the freeze. I saw a lot of posts asking the best ways to make one. I’ve had this one up for several years now and usually see a variety of animals use it. Styrofoam cooler from Walmart $17. The heating pad is variable temperature setting and has timer (Amazon $15). Roof is lined with foil for heat radiation. Two exits are best as animals do need an escape route (swinging pet door $6 Amazon). I haven’t had to use straw as it’s fairly protected from the elements and doesn’t get wet. It is situated so the main entrance faces south and there are also plants for a windbreak.
