Homeless Student Looking For Emergency Housing

Hi, I’m a student at UHD and am looking to leave my home due to a lot of family problems and abuse that I can’t take anymore. I looked at the Basic Needs program through the university’s website and found some options that may work. I’m just worried that homeless shelters won’t regard my situation enough of an emergency to help me so I want to seek outside opinion/tips/help. I have about a year left at UHD and am currently a work-study student for the summer but anticipate being unemployed for the fall and spring.
