Hockley or New Caney

I’m looking to purchase a house within the next few months and would like to get insight on these two areas. I’ve been living in Katy for the last year and still relatively new to Houston. My realtor has found new builds in both New Caney (The Trails) and Hockley (Jubilee) that my husband and I really like. I work remotely and husband travels a good bit for work so commute into the city is not a big concern.

What are your thoughts on both areas and the predicted growth over the course of the next 5 or so years?
