HMNS Shark exhibit…

Just visited the new shark exhibit with my wife and kid and it was disappointing to say the least.

The exhibit design was fairly cool, but the information and how it was presented felt pretty bare-bones. It ends with some small sharks in oversized kiddy pools that are too deep for lost kids to actually reach and touch, so it’s just a cramped, chaotic, and wet end to an underwhelming experience.

If it was a free exhibit or even say $10/person it would probably be worth it, but for two adults and a kid it was $20/ea WITH the member discount and, yeah, not a trip worth $60 and definitely not worth it without a discount.

It’s a shame because HMNS exhibits seem to be getting more and more stale, while the Houston Zoo are constantly raising their game (the new Galapagos exhibit is fantastic).

Anyway, just my $0.02 in case you were thinking about dropping the cash to check it out. Show your kids JAWS instead.
