HISD Pre-K Application

First time parent here

I applied in Feb for Pre-K in the school we are zoned to even though we don't meet the qualification for free admission, I'm ready to pay. Problem is, there have been no updates and the school is not responding so I don't know what to make of the situation. Application status on the website says Qualified-Pending. I just don't want to wait too long and then have to scramble at the last minute for alternatives.
