HISD employee check in

Hey there HISD staff, students, and parents. I’m an HISD middle school math teacher at an NES/A school.

I’m mostly doing a little vibe check. I feel like I’m drowning this year with the micromanaging, confusion, lack of competent leadership, and the kids behavior is less manageable with all these other components. More than 50% of the teachers at my school have been terminated or quit. Morale is low.

I thought I had it in me to stick it out, but the lack of stability is getting to me. Starting to feel serious burnout.

How’s it going at other schools under Miles’ regime?
