High Water Bill

I live in 1.5 bedroom apartment about 1k sq ft. And just saw that our water & sewer bill this month is $150 compared to $40 last month. My parent’s 2 story house in spring barely reaches $140 in the summer months and that’s with a sprinkler system that runs 2-3 times a week. What is going on??
