Hidden gems near cottage grove or Washington area?

Hey guys! I currently live in the southern part of Timbergrove (think cottage grove) and pretty close to Washington and would love to hear of any hidden gem restaurants or bars I should try. Also open to any not-so-hidden gems that are deemed to be essential to try if in the area.

Some personal favorites (not really hidden though) are Cookshack, Killen’s, Miyako, and El Rey exclusively for horchata, as the food is hit or miss.

On another note, are there any decent taco trucks in the area I should add to my list?
