Hey guys, just trying to figure out the catch?

I’m thinking of moving from Chicago to a warmer state, Texas seems to have the most value for homes. Why can I buy such a big home in Texas as compared to Chicago or other areas? I know I probably live in a bubble, but what’s the reason Texas is cheap?
