Help me understand properly tax
I have single home, and my understanding is that property tax is calculated based upon Appraised value rather than market value if one does have homestead exemption. Correct? I protested my property tax and isettle offer only lowered my market value and kept appraisal value same. Should i accept offer ? Will this help me in reduction of property tax ? I have only one home and have homestead exemption.
