Help me support Friends for Life Animal Rescue!
Howdy r/Houston! I will be running in the Chevron Houston "We Are Houston" 5K in support of Friends for Life on Saturday, January 14, 2023. I am trying to raise money to support their mission to provide every animal with a safe and loving home.
FFL works tirelessly within the Houston community to rescue and provide medical care to animals in need. Additionally, the organization provides valuable resources to community pet owners, such as free spay/neuter surgeries, free vaccinations, free behavioral counseling, a pet food bank for pet owners who have experienced financial hardship, and even veterinary assistance through micro grants.
As a former volunteer, I have witnessed the incredible impact of FFL first-hand, and consider the shelter to be one of the best in the country. Today, I got to meet the sweet cats I will be running in honor of, Jeff and Eden.
