Help getting power back on. 23 hours without power
I live in Southwest Houston. The storm yesterday knocked out our power. We’ve been 23 hours at this point without power.
The CenterPoint Outage tracker said it would be fixed by 9 pm last night. Then midnight. Then 8 this morning, and then noon today. In most of those cases, no one even came out to check things. Now I don’t even have an ETA on when my power will be up.
Their call centers are closed until Sunday, and I just want to know when things will be fixed. Does anyone have someone I can contact, or anyway I can get better information?
Additional: it’s not just my house. It’s me and 5 neighbors.
Update: 26 hours, still no power. Moved our food to the fridge/freezer at a local church.
I tried all the numbers that were sent to me, they all looped me back into the automated system. Fortunately as y’all probably know, it’s not an emergency situation. Just a really inconvenient situation.
At various times the outage tracker has said a crew was investigating, but no one was actually there. Still no ETA on when power will be back on.
Final update: 8:03 pm, 30 hours later. Power is back on.
Special thanks to all of you who just commiserated with me. It made the experience more tolerable. U/RFLSHRMNRLTR Was extremely generous and even though I didn’t take him up on his offer, his kindness did not go unnoticed.
