Help for seeing the rodeo this weekend?

Flying down to Houston for a work trip this Thursday, and I got the time for the Rodeo.

My biggest question is what is the best time/day to go see it? I am a little confused by the schedule, and I am not sure what the terms really mean. I just want to get the full rodeo experience with the concert, bull riding, carnival and shopping.

Second question, anyone want to hang out? None of my work friends can/want to go :/
