Help finding a city ordinance on light trespass, if there even is one
I'm trying to find any ordinances that have to do with light trespass or light pollution (or nuisance light, whatever it's called). There is a parking lot behind me and they recently changed their lights with very, very bright LEDs. I'm not sure what they were before, but for the last 10 years they were much dimmer and much more tolerable, almost unnoticeable. But now it's bright AF and shines right into my backyard and living room.
I've looked into it before and am familiar with how to measure it, but can't find anything in local laws, ordinances, or codes regarding the subject. There's an ordinance site which i've combed through and am not finding anything. I'm worried that such thing doesn't exist, but I'm hoping that there is one and I just can't find it.
I'm going to first approach them to find a solution but would like to be prepared somehow should they not be willing to compromise. Any help is much appreciated!
I'm in Houston city limits.
