Help choosing 1st ever home

We are in the process of buying our 1st ever home. We are new to the area… our top 2 houses are

1- 1998 house in Katy, cinco ranch 2- 2015 house in Richmond, lakes of Bella Terra

For #1 we are targeting $450K max which is a little lower than asking price. For #2 we think $500K is reasonable

Any thoughts?
