HEB & Whataburger Donations
| |
I’ve been getting a lot of heat lately for calling out restaurants that will donate 100% of PROFITS toward the relief efforts for the flooding in San Antonio. These “donations” are not guaranteed. The restaurant has to make a profit first and only after that will the rest of the proceeds go toward donation. However, I’d like to call out companies who are donating the right way. Case and point, HEB and Whataburger. HEB is flat out donating 5 million dollars to the relief effort. There isn’t a requirement for the customer to do anything, it’s just a straight 5 million and that’s that. Second place is Whataburger. If you purchase a particular item, 100% of the revenue from that item will go toward the relief effort. There’s no guessing when or if the restaurant will make a profit. Simply purchase a particular item and that’s that. OR, as someone pointed out, you can donate to an organization that will give all items received to the relief effort.
