HEB is way too expensive

It’s really frustrating. I wanna support them because they’re better to their employees than s**t ass Kroger or Walmart (low bar), but they cost so much more. Every little markup adds up at the checkout. I’ve ran the numbers and somehow even my local Kroger is cheaper than them. ( Walmart has them beat because ofc they do.) I’m sure if you finesse your list with coupons and deals it isn’t as bad, but those often aren’t enough to make meals out of because a lot of it is processed crap/junk or snack food.
