HCU formerly known as Houston Baptist University OR Lone Star Community College

Ok so I am an incoming freshman for uni, and I got the Presidential scholarship plus FAFSA and commuting my tuition is low. My guardians will help pay off the rest.

I keep looking at Reddit to see how HBU/HCU is and it's all negative from 4+ years ago, but I wanted a recent update of it. I am Christian not into parties or anything so if people review it negative because of that then that's ok cause Tahts my type of school. The person also said something about their WI-FI being slow and nepotism being a thing there. Or sucking up to people to actually do something, if it's because of that I will not be attending mostly cause that's not very Christ like of them. If they truly want to help their students shouldnt they not have to make us suck up to them that sounds to me like hypocrisy. They preach kindness out of the heart not one that except a something in return but yet that's what they are doing.

And if that's the case I rather go to LSC cause I already know them as dual credit student and love them so much. So good professors and staff inclusive in everything they want to see you succeed. Plus I got waitlisted for their nursing program so if I get accepted from now to July IDK what to do either.

HCU is a new place and the idea of having to be a people pleaser or just not like the environment at all I don't like that and will be upset at myself when I could just gone to Lonestar nursing.

Pls help. I ask my parents and they go for the money and since I don't have secure money in Lonestar idk how much I'll have to pay as of RN. But atleast HCU is secure money.
