HCAD being ruthless this year and not reconsidering taxes

Is anyone having any luck protesting their taxes this year? In previous years I have protested my taxes and had them lower the appraisal value but this year they are being ruthless. I own 3 houses, 2 of which are rentals and I haven’t been given any leeway when protesting my taxes on any of them. They are being assessed at values higher than what I could get from them last year or this year. They have been dismissing my arguments whereas in years before they have considered my arguments and lowered the values. Is anyone having any luck or is there a directive to not be as lenient this year? My friends are all having the same issue.
