Has the construction at IAH actually led to any noticeable improvements yet?

I'll admit right off it's one of those rough travel mornings and I'm a tad cranky. But as I went through Bush this morning I couldn't help but think about how this used to be in my opinion one of the easiest airports in the country and now feels like an ordeal every time I go. I used to fly nearly every week for work from 2016-2020 and I had my list of airports that I absolutely hated, but I hardly ever had problems at Bush. If I remember correctly, they started this construction stuff back in 2020 and I figured if you're going to do it, might as well do it when most aren't traveling, that's fair

But now it's over 4 years later and this airport still feels like a mess. Traffic gets backed up more than it ever has, some of the passenger pickups are just horrible, Terminal E check in has been closed forever which backs up Terminal C, sometimes even just exiting the parking garage takes forever.

Maybe I have rose tinted glasses for pre-pandemic times and some of these issues always existed but frankly it feels like they tried to fix something that wasn't broken and broke it in the process. I also don't know the behind the scenes of why the construction was necessary, maybe there was some infrastructure stuff.

That's all to say, can someone tell me the bright side? Any noticeable improvements you've seen? Anything that when they finally complete this in 2030 or whenever that will be so awesome an improvement that I'll forget all these bad years?
