Has anyone recently had their roof replaced?

My neighbor is having his done and has been quoted 15-17k for a 2000 sf house. I was under impression down here costs were better than that! Is this from supply issues? Labor? I’m curious to what people have paid in the last 6 months for a new standard 30 year roof. Mine will need to be done in the next couple years and I’d do it sooner if I could.
