Has anyone had to sue a contractor? I need lawyer recommendations

I’ve paid a contractor over 17,000 and they’ve blocked me, haven’t done anything, and I have no idea how to get my money back. Before y’all ask, she was another mom on my son’s baseball team and I blindly trusted her (I’m a fucking moron).

I have her address, name, and bank receipts/her account for what I’ve paid. If y’all have gone through something similar and had a good lawyer please let me know!
