Has anyone got hired through City of Houston or Harris County job fairs?

I see ads for job fairs at both these orgs all the time, but has anyone gotten a job through one of these events? I have never been to a COH or Harris County job fair, but I have been to three other job fairs and two of them were a waste of time. I've heard most orgs hold these events for publicity and not to actually hire unless it's for an in-demand position like nursing. Personally know only one person who got a job through a job fair, and she was a certified nursing assistant.
