Has anyone else been priced out of Sharpstown?

Don’t want auto-mod to come remove this post so I’ll keep this minimal, just wondering if anyone else is facing the same issue? Has anyone else faced the same issue in other areas? I know the heights went through this process and some other areas. How did it go for you? Where did you go? Did you end up coming back?

My family has to leave by February and yea, only affordable place is like the ghetto. Sharpstown is ghetto but it’s not like 3rd ward ghetto, some places (especially the part with the old 50s homes) in Sharpstown are alright. Though I can see investors doing their thing here, many new homes are being built and many are being renovated. While they are outliers, there’s a couple or so houses already nearing half a million. However, many are still at a reasonable $200,000+ though a few years ago it wasn’t as hard to find a decent house for less than $200,000.
