Has anyone been to Renn Fest this year yet?

Hi all, Long time Houstonian who used to go often but haven't gone in a few years (hence this post).

I was curious if anyone had gone this year yet? A few people have stated that getting there is a lot easier now that some construction on 249 has been completed. Is there any truth to this, I am trying to figure out what the best route there is, keeping in mind that a lot of side streets are closed. Tomorrow looks like a beautiful day to check it out, and I'm aware that there are threads about this but seeing that traffic flow/construction changes things over the course of a few years.
