Harris County raises Covid-19 threat level to ‘red’

HOUSTON — Houston and Harris County leaders talked about the latest Covid-19 trends Thursday, Aug. 5, while updating residents on the threat level.
Judge Lina Hidalgo increased the county’s coronavirus threat level to “red,” which is level 1, Thursday afternoon. The county’s scale indicates this threat level advises residents to “Stay Home, Work Safe — unless vaccinated.”
