Harris County issues mandate that businesses require masks
Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo signed an order June 19 that requires businesses to develop and implement policies requiring masks in response to the rising number of cases of Covid-19.
Hidalgo equated the new requirement to the well-known “No shirt, no shoes, no service” rules at many businesses.
The order takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, June 22, and it’s currently slated to expire at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, along with the county’s current disaster declaration. However, the disaster…
