Harris County is spending $25 mm to ship prisoners to Lubbock
This is absolutely a tragic travesty of justice. These people are not convicted yet and then we can shift almost 500 miles away until they stand trial? How about their families? We are going to spend $25 mm to do this.
Granted they were arrested & some are probably repeat offenders but is that where we are as a society? You know ADA will use this as leverage to get pleas.
Email your county commissioner & show your displeasure. Do your homework on judges this November.
