Harris County extends stay-home order for entire month

Harris County’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order has been extended nearly a month beyond its original April 3 end date to help slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and leaders of Harris County Public Health and the Houston Health Department announced at a Tuesday, March 31, press conference that the order has been extended through 11:59 p.m. April 30.
