Hard to find food
I moved to houston from maryland in 2018; I love it here but been trying to find some non-franchise places that had food I'm used to. For clarification I live in hobby so I'd like places that weren't too far to drive–unless they're really worth it
- Scrapple is a great breakfast food; I've found it only at HEB but wondering do any restaurants serve it?
- good fried chicken, again that's not from a franchise place like Church's, kfc or popeyes (idk how Cane's stays in business with that meager selection)
- good local pizza; I always preferred locally owned pizza places compared to PJ, hut or dominos. I've tried MOD but had a terrible experience. Been to village seafood in pearland and it's decent. Also needed to include a place that does pizza and philly cheesesteak. I know this is a touchy subject given the recent world series but I found one place that did pizza and sub sandwiches but not a cheesesteak–village seafood is decent for this but want better.
Thanks to anyone for your help, I am in no way complaining or disparaging this great city I just miss a couple things that I'm sure you all would like if they were more available.
