Happy Cake day, America (and Houston)

Dear Houston, I love you.

I love the sweltering heat. I love the HMNS. I love playing pokemon go all around the city on my rollerblades.

I love flying down your enormous concrete highways in my Toyota Corolla scream-singing Zach Bryan.

I’m so fortunate to have grown up here and no matter how bad the politicians make things I swear I will always love you.

Remember that one time I moved to Cleveland, Ohio for a year and literally kissed the hot concrete in the Ruchi’s parking lot when I got back? Yeah, that was dumb.

I’m nervous about this hurricane season, but I bet no matter what happens we will make it through together.
