Halfway spot btw Stafford & Clear Lake for dinner this Friday?

Houston experts, please help!

Meeting a former colleague (we're both from out of town but both in town visiting family) for dinner this Friday night. I'm at 59/BW8 and she's across from the Johnson Space Center. Is there a good halfway-ish point for us to meet that wouldn't make either one of us pull out hair over nightmare traffic? And if I were to book a reservation, what time would be ideal to book (if anyone happens to know traffic patterns)?

ETA: I initially booked a 7:00 pm for this Friday at Lees Den, and my local family recoiled and said that would make for nightmare driving for anyone coming from Clear Lake so… (Is this true?)
