H-E-B to close Houston stores early, cut hours to keep up with coronavirus-related demand

San Antonio-based H-E-B LP is implementing new store hours in Houston as the grocer works to keep shelves stocked amid panic over the coronavirus pandemic.

All H-E-B, Joe V’s Smart Shop, Mi Tienda and Central Market stores in the Houston area will close at 8 p.m. Friday, March 13. Beginning Saturday, March 14, store hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until further notice.
