Gulf suggestions for tomorrow?!?

Mom just got into town to visit. We have only been here 2 months. Looking to head down to the Galveston/Kemah area tomorrow. Wife and I want to take her down towards the gulf for the day. Suggestions for restaurants and things to do for the day.
